Habitats

A habitat is simply a place where an animal lives. Birds are very closely linked to the habitats in which they are found and their body shape, behaviour and food are all adapted to the habitat in which they live.  Here is a list of some of the main habitats found in the UK.:

  • Woodland
  • Farmland
  • Mountains and Moorland
  • Parks and Gardens
  • Lakes and Rivers
  • Coastlines
  • Cliffs
  • The Sea
